̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥

If you're a student from one of ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥'s partner institutions, you're eligible to come to ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ as an exchange student for a semester or a full academic year.

You'll receive credit towards your home degree and continue to pay tuition and fees at your home university. Find out more about how to attend ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ as an exchange student.

If your university or college is not one of our partner universities, you can come to ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ as a visiting international student.

Steps to apply:

STEP 1: Contact the international centre at your home university

Contact the international centre at your home university for more information about requirements to come to ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ as an exchange student.

You must first be nominated by the study abroad or exchange advisor at your home university as a tuition-waver exchange student before you can submit your visiting exchange student application.

The nomination form certifies that a student from one of our partner universities is applying to do an exchange, and has been nominated to attend ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ by their home university. The nomination form must be completed by the Study Abroad Advisor or Exchange Administrator from the university co-ordinating the exchange student application process to ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥.

STEP 3: Submit our Visiting Exchange Student Application

Complete the Visiting Exchange Student Application.

You'll need to list the courses you intend to take at ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥. To view a list of courses that are offered during the semester that you intend to study at ̨ÍåÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ as an exchange student, visit our course timetables.

STEP 4: Send supporting documents

Send the following supporting documents to studyabroad@mta.ca.

  • Official academic transcripts from your home university (in English)
  • Description of grading system at your home university (in English)
  • If English is not your first language, proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 90, IELTS 6.5) — this is not required if you've been studying at one of our partner universities whose primary language of instruction is English
